Galactic Ice Rink – Ice Hockey | Skating | Family Fun

Opened in June 2000, Galactic Ice brought the Altoona/Blair County area its very first ice rink facility. Featuring an NHL regulation ice sheet, Galactic Ice is home to the Altoona Area Youth Ice Hockey Association, whose teams include the Altoona Trackers and Mid-State Mustangs for ages 5-18. In addition, three high school hockey programs, Penn State-Altoona hockey, and the Sitting Bulls Sled Hockey call Galactic Ice home. Other ice sports offered in our facility include Learn To Skate programs, figure skating, and curling.

Galactic Ice also hosts public skating, birthday parties, private outings, corporate events, and more! Our facilities include a spacious lobby and private party rooms. Come to the coolest place in the universe to check out one of the premier sports and recreation facilities in Blair County!
